dating: second quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Vienna, Smooth-bore, round, damask, 16 mm cal. barrel, with square base, the gilded signature 'JOSEPH HAMERL IN WIEN' at the rib, the first part engraved and decorated with gilded filigree, swallow-tailed silver and gold foresight, pierced and gilded barrel-bracket with wide sight; the tang engraved en suite; flintlock with flat plate, engraved with floral motifs; at the hammer bass-relieved decorations, at the batterie a high-relieved mask; wooden full stock slightly carved with racemes; gilded brass mounts, engraved and partially pierced with bands and floral motifs, and Diana's bust at the butt-plate; at the neck the royal Bavarian coat of arms with the Golden Fleece. Brass-tipped flexible ramrod with iron cartridge extractor. length 145 cm.
