Send me every day an officer with a report of the enemy troops movements.´ Further and before concluding, Mortier refers again to the Emperor, saying `I urge the Emperor to send me orders; if I hadn´t been afraid to thwart operations, I would have immediately lifted the blockade of Colberg to join you and overthrow the enemy..´ The present letter was written short before the Battle of Friedland.
