Chinese 17 Century Transitional Wucai Enameled Porcelain Tea Bowl with a design of a beautiful Lady contemplating Scholar's Rocks in a Garden; glaze over foot with mouth edge unglazed and slightly red in the firing; old Chinese storage box. Height 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm.) X diameter at mouth 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm.). PROVENANCE: Acquired from King Po Chai Antique Dealer, Upper Lascar Row, Hong Kong, 1965-1971; then by descent to the private collection of a California Restaurateur. Age related wear to enamels, glazed foot rim and 1 tiny flake to mouth.
