Three Old Master Engravings
including two Italian examples from the ex-collection of the Earl of Spencer, probably Albert Edward John, the 7th, including Ventura Salimbeni (1568-1613), "Destiny of the Virgin", on laid paper, signed, dated and titled in plate, and Enea Vico (1523-1567), "Adoration of the Shepherds", on wove paper, both engravings with the collection stamp lower left (Lugt 2341a); together with a Flemish engraving after John Sadeler I (1550-1600), "St. Antiochus", from the Trophaeum Vitae Solitariae (ca. 1608), on laid paper.
All unframed and paper tape hinged to mat board.
sheet size 8-1/4" x 6", 10-3/8" x 8-5/8" and 8-3/8" x 11-5/8", respectively
Provenance: Collection of Mark M. Johnson, Montgomery, Alabama.
