Laid in at rear is a cable car print by Louis Maqouillard signed in pencil and dated 1940. Sir Henry Raeburn was a British portrait painter and Scotland's first significant portrait painter since the Union to remain based in Scotland. He served as Portrait Painter to King George IV in Scotland.
Condition
Rubbing with fraying at spine ends, edges and corners, dampstaining, soil and scuffs to cloth; hinges cracked, preliminary folio detached; good.
