Large Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Ekadasamukha (Chenrezi) Thangka, Tibet, 18th or 19th century, gouache on cotton, 41 x 27 inches, in a cherry wood frame 49.5 x 39 inches, central figure in eleven-headed form with eight arms, primary pair held against his chest cradling the jewel of enlightenment, Buddha Amitabha directly above, countless other deities, Buddhas and figures, including Nyingma styled red-capped monks in the top left and right corners, an intricate work with a profound and simple message. Condition
Age appropriate creasing and wear to paint, but seemingly no major issues, unexamined outside of frame. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
