Description
Near East, Persia, ca. 19th century CE. An antique Persian powder horn made from an impressively large bull horn and elaborately decorated with an openwork/embossed nickel silver terminal at the lower end and a matching nickel silver cap on the opposite end which also presents a handy integral suspension loop. Size: 25" L (63.5 cm)

Condition
Expected age wear with nicks, minor losses, and abrasions to metalwork and horn as shown. Perforation to protruding tip of nickel silver lower terminal suggests a former attachment. Great patina.
