Description
Indian Kashmiri kashkul, modeled after the boat-shaped beggar's bowls used by Persian Sufi mystics, both with brass and copper alloy bodies lacquered and finely-painted with floral motifs, the larger further with hoopoe birds, on circular rim feet and terminating in dragon-head finials on each end of the vessels, the larger marked underside "Hand-Made in Kashmir India." Larger: 6.75" H X 11" L. Both with cracks to veneer.
