Swiss inlaid walnut music box, late 19th century, the lid centered with a marquetry musical trophy motif medallion, the case housing an 11" cylinder playing eight airs, with ratchet wound movement, the lid with paper tune sheet label "Mandoline Tremolo Zither" and with decoration celebrating the Centennial International Exhibition of 1876, the first official World's Fair in the United States which was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Case: 5.5" H x 20.25" W x 8.75" D. Losses.
