Biography: Alexis de Leeuw was a Belgian 19th Century painter who was born in the Circa 1822. Alexis de Leeuw's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from $209 USD to $10,360 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 1998 the record price for this artist at auction is $10,360 USD for Figures skating by a windmill; and Skaters by a farmstead on a Dutch waterway, sold at Christie's South Kensington in 2008. The artist died in 1900.
