Faberge Kangaroo, carved from lavender colored agate stone.Circa 1900.Removed from the home of a United Nations diplomat near Fish Kill, NY, approximately 20 years ago.----------------------------------------------------The eyes of the Kangaroo are rose cut diamonds, and the eyes of the babies in the pouch are some kind of green stone.Ear and tail and leg damaged.Approximately 20 years ago this was shown to Gerard Hill, who was the head of Sotheby's Russian department at the time, and he said it was " absolutely Faberge " but too damaged to sell there.It has been in the David Killen Gallery collection every since.This is the first time it has been offered for sale. 3" high.
