Description
A copy of "Tractatus Juridicus De Inquisitionis Processu" by jurist Johann Brunnemann (German, 1608-1672). This edition was published in 1704 by Johann Christoph Hartmann and Jeremiah Schrey in London & New York. This edition is presented in a leather-bound binding with raised bands to the spine. Also includes an engraved portrait of the author. Heavy peeling and wear to leather cover with red rot; foxing and toning of paper; handwriting present on pastedown, front endpaper and title page; stains and water damage present on cover; damaged front hinge, front cover is coming loose; piece of tape to one page possibly used as a bookmark. Measures approx. 1.75" H x 7" W x 8.25" L. Also included is a letter dated December 20, 1991 presenting the book as a gift with commentary.
