Elton G. Krafft is a listed Wisconsin Artist born in Elkart, Indiana who went on to study at the Layton School or Art. He opened his own Advertising Studio. After he served in the Army Corp. of Engineers during WWII he opened a 'One Man Show' at the Pentagon featuring his war works. He married his sweatheart, Olga, whom he'd met at the Layton Scool of Art and went on to be the Art Director of Cream City Outdoor Advertising creating illustrations for companies such as the Schlitz Brewing Co. Elton G. Krafft Pioneered the employment of 3Dimensional objects on Billboards. Krafft preferred to work as an impressionist and often featured Wisconsin Landscape while Plein Air Painting. He retired in 1985. While researching this particular Artist we took off the backing and found another painting. Both sides of this are signed. One side is of a River Winter Scene and the reverse side is of the Milwaukee River Valley Brewery. This is quite unusual and definetly a piece of Wisconsin History. 24"Tx28"W
