Two Cornelius Patinated Bronze Astral Lamps
mid-19th century, Philadelphia, including a reeded example with a label on the tank, electrified, but retaining the original 19th-century flame spreaders, mounted with a later engraved glass ball shade, h. 33-1/2", dia. 8-1/2", and a "Cornelius & Co." lamp, signed in script on the iron weight, unelectrified, but converted to kerosene, mounted with a frosted and cut glass ball shade, h. 25-1/2", dia. 7-1/2".

Condition
Each lamp with old patinated surfaces and later shades. The shorter example originally hung with prisms.
