Description
World War II era Fairbairn Sykes commando fighting knife. This one is marked on the underside of the crossguard with the British broad arrow and the "B2" indicating it was the first run of FS fighting knives made under war contract by Wilkinson Sword Co of England. Also marked "ENGLAND" on the underside of the guard. Blade is blued finish, near 100% with light wear at the tip and age wear. Handle shows wear and discoloration, but is solid. The scabbard is in excellent condition -- the leg straps and retaining straps are torn as is often the case, but the riveted tip and leather frog section are intact. Excellent
