Hand colored map of the world in two hemispheres. This map has several notable features, including the depicting of California as an island, the inclusion of a land bridge connecting northwest North America to Japan, and the edges of an enormous southern continent. From Sanson's "Cartes Generales de Toutes les Parties du Monde."
