Roman Imperial coinage > Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD: AE Sestertius (32.5 x 31.5mm, 23.35g), struck 145-147 AD; laureate bust facing right & legend ANTONINVS | AVG PIVS PP TR P / Antoninus seated facing left on sella castrensis on raised dais, extending right hand, to left, Liberalitas standing facing left, holding abacus and cornucopia & to right, the prefect of the praetorium standing facing left + below, a citizen standing facing right, extending hand, and legend COS IIII | SC + LIBERALITAS | AVG IIII in exergue. References: RIC III 774, Sear 4187, Banti 211 var. (no slight drapery); VF, well centered, darkish greenish-brown patina & good reverse legend detail (rarely seen in this condition); medallic alignment.
