Chinese Song Dynasty RU type bottle vase. The porcelain potted in shape bottle vase, thick and bulbous lower body, slight ovoid body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall neck, flaring upper open lip, emerging numerous ring on the neck, raised on slightly flat small foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in douqing design color, in pale-turquoise- pale green celadon underglaze ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the underglaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The bottle vase fitted unto a Japanese wooden lidded box.
