Description
Two rectangular examples by David Pettifer, Birmingham, 1854; one has scalloped edges, criss-cross pattern, central cartouche with no monogram, floral lid handle, the grille with pierced and etched floral and scrolling foliate decoration; the other is a smaller example, with scalloped edges and etched scrolling foliate decoration with central cartouche with no monogram, the grille with etched scrolling foliate decoration.
Dimensions: 7/8" x 1" x 1/4"; 5/8" x 7/8" x 1/4". The combined weight is 0.64 troy ounce.
