Description
Both rectangular, by Thomas Newbold, Birmingham; one example with etched scrolling and floral decoration, the interior grille with etched braided and floral decoration, 1822; the other example is gold washed, with etched foliate, bull's-eye, sheaf of wheat, and floral decoration, also with floral chasing, the interior grille with scrolling floral pierced decoration, 1823.
Dimensions: Both are approximately 1 1/4" x 7/8" x 3/8". The total combined weight is 0.9 troy ounce.

Condition
The 1822 example has scratches to the interior and a shallow dent to the foot. Otherwise very good condition with expected wear, both with interior gilding.
