This group also includes an Oil on Board still life painting Signed Vernon B Smith 1920 (18" x 14") and a pencil signed ink/watercolor painting framed under glass (16" x 13"). Condition is overall good with letters, papers, and photos in good condition, The oil painting is edge tattered and needs cleaning, the watercolor is excellent.
Vernon B. Smith was a Cape Cod Massachusetts Artist and WPA Administrator known for his Bas Relief woodcarvings, Oil Paintings, Watercolors, and Batik Fabrics. He also worked in metal and created miniatures. The works in the auction are directly from members of his family.
