Description
Production Description: Open Serpent guard helmet worn by actor Peter Williams as "Apophis" in the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1, as well as other Season One episodes. The brother of the sun god Ra, Apophis was the serpent guard who ruled the night. His gold body armor distinguished him from his warriors. This helmet is permanently in an open position, and includes a black cloth to focus the camera on the actor's face.
Technical Description: Production made armored cobra head in open configuration with Jaffa armor collar. Mask is made of rubber, the eyes of the cobra are clear resin tinted red, mask is painted gold with black weathering, the inside of the mask is lined with black velvet, the mask is attached to a rubber collar with foam rubber shoulder pads and foam rubber padding underneath, the collar sits on a metal frame with webbing straps and buckles, mask and collar are covered in etched Egyptian/Goa'uld lines and decorations, measures approx. 22in x 19in x 30in.
