U.S. Army Special Requisition form. 28x21.4 cm (11x8½"); in Optium Museum Acrylic glass frame: 32.5x25.7 cm (12¾x10¼"). paneled with acrylic glass at reverse of frame revealing print and writing on reverse of leaf.

Signed by G.E. Mathey, a survivor the Battle of the Little Bighorn who had been the lieutenant in charge of the pack train and would become a witness in the subsequent trial of Major Marcus A. Reno. The present document requests three corn brooms and asserts that they are "absolutely requisite for the public service".

Condition

Ink fading somewhat, a few spots, some toning to leaf; unexamined out of frame.
