Originally, the coronation album of Tsar Alexander III (1845-1894) was printed in Russia in an edition of 500, with 200 copies in French and 300 in Russian.
It has 26 chromolithographed plates, designed by well-known Russian artists K. Makovsky; I. Kramskoi; V. Vereshchagin and A. Sokolov.
The coronation albums were gifts for members of foreign delegations and members of the imperial family participating in the coronation ceremony and never offered for public sale.
Approximately 21" x 27 1/2". Actual image is approximately 11 3/4" x 17 3/4".

Framed under glass and appears in perfect condition but was never inspected out of its frame to identify authenticity and sold as is, as pictured.
