Description
A GROUP OF SIX AMERICAN AND DANISH STERLING SILVER SALTS, CIRCA 1915-1925, comprising an open salt by Johan Rohde (Danish 1856-1935) in the "Acorn" pattern, for Georg Jensen, Inc., Copenhagen, Denmark, designed 1915, with flared run hemispherical bowl enameled on the interior in cobalt blue, raised on four "S" scroll brackets centering an acorn, with stepped spreading foot, marked "DESSIN" over "JR" intertwined monogram, "DENMARK, GEORG JENSEN (within beaded oval), STERLING, 741," height: 1 7/8", diameter: 2 1/8"; and a set of five Webster Co., cobalt blue glass open salts with reticulated sterling silver basket form bases, North Attleboro, Massachusetts, marked "WCO" on trident, "STERLING," height: 1", diameter: 1 7/8"; together with an additional three Webster salt bases without liners.
Condition
