William W.H.W. Bicknell (Massachusetts 1860 - 1947) etching. Signed 'William W.H.W. Bicknell' in plate lower center. Etching is a portrait of Edward Bellamy, who was an American author, journalist, and political activist, famous for his utopian novel 'Looking Backward.' Stamped upper left 'Copyright 1890 by A. J. Philpott and Henry H. Austin.' Measures 6.25-in. x 4.75-in. image size, measures 12.5-in. x 10-in. sheet size. In VG/EX condition; tape residue upper corners, verso. Crease left-center margin. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email.
