signed and dated lower right, framed with autograph letter by the artist reading 'Dear Mrs. Parsons: / Your Holiday Conversation together with the fluid words about one of my watercolors made me want to try to give you an impression of the moonlights I have been looking at the past few nights. / Today is not hot enough to turn out anything like the honey suckle picture and I am not sure that I will see the blue picture tomorrow as I do today, but I am wrapping up the bit at once to go to you with my best wishes for next year. / Sincerely yours / S.
