Description
A printed musical score used by choir member Diana Macalpine during the recording of The Rolling Stones song "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at Olympic Studios on November 16 and 17, 1968, signed by Mick Jagger and Brian Jones. The score is copyrighted in 1969 by Mirage Music Ltd. in London with the information printed at the bottom. Macalpine was a member of the London Bach Choir employed by The Rolling Stones to open the song (on the album version); they can be heard throughout the track. Accompanied by musical notations for the song and other scores used by Macalpine while she was singing for the London Bach Choir: a film score for Dr. Phibes Rises Again, one for Handel's Allegro Maestoso, one for a song titled "Rainbow," and two for a song titled "The First Time." All housed in a black folder with "The Bach Choir" embossed on the cover.
Macalpine has provided a letter of provenance with the collection and two black and white images of the London Bach Choir taken during the recording of "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
