Watercolor on paper 21 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. (sight), 30 1/2 x 27 in. (framed). Ruth Wainwright was born in Nova Scotia in 1902. She studied at the Halifax Ladies’ College under Edith Smith. In 1953 she went to New York and studied at Hans Hofmann’s Provincetown school.
