2 volumes, 8vo (260 x 171 mm). 96 engraved plates, 13 engraved maps (one folding). (Spotting throughout.) Contemporary black morocco gilt, edges gilt. Provenance: John Key (gift inscription, 1857).
Second edition, preceded by the first edition of 1827-1829, with plates after Brockedon, who made his first excursion to the Alps in 1824.
