Two Japanese cloisonné vases: "Peonies and Wisteria"; "Asters and Sparrow" Meiji/Taisho period. The first of baluster form, with silver wires, black ground; the second of tapered vasiform, deep sky-blue ground, silver wires (2).

Oxidation and wear to mounts; peonies vase, hairlines to one area of shoulder in ground, series of hailines extending from foot in the black ground with a few very slight enamel losses; othe vase good, very marginally lighter blue areas at shoulder, generally non-disfiguring.
