Thackeray's posthumously published classic, which was serialized in twenty-three monthly installments in London from October 1853 through August 1855. The Newcomes is considered to be an early novel giving sensitivity to the position of women in Victorian society.

Condition

Chip and repaired tear at heads of spines, rubbing with some sunning; bookplates removed, toning with a few dampstains to Doyle plates, a few plates repaired; very good.
