Chinese Qing Dynasty period, Kangxi Zijin Glaze porcelain Bowl. Delicately potted with slightly rounded sides rising from footed base toward flat opening, of a simply deep and wide vessel, straight opening, curved side, raised on slight concave foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in even coat of a deep brown glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The brown glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely exterior, glazed smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.

Mark on under base, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Kangxi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
