Chinese Qing Dynasty, Chenxiang ChaoZhu court necklace comprised of well strung 108 natural round shape natural beads accented by four larger beads. Each carved and inlay with small gold over silver medallions, with one larger bead center Fotou connecting to clouds thread suspending a gilt silver filigree enamel mounted with oval Fotou pendant, followed by the central bead (BeiYun). The prayer Necklace elegancy fitted unto its original hard-cushion box, and pale-white-creme silk fabric covered interior cushion decorated inscribed with an intricate motif, cherry blossom, interlocking foliage and vines.

Chaozhu beads are a Buddhist prayer beads are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited, breaths while meditating, counting prostrations, or the repetitions of a buddha's name.
