Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng monochrome vase. Potted with a wide bulbous lower belly, slight oval, gently waisted toward rotation prominent neck, and slightly flared rim leading to wide opening. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered masterfully covered in an even coat of a fresh green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.

Mark on under base, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
