Exceptional and early mountainous landscape scroll painting with a single scholar amongst pine trees. Signed with three red artist chop seals lower edges. Image has been cut down slightly and remounted so chops are illegible. Mounted size 90''x31''. 16th or 17th century, Ming dynasty. From a private Northwest family collection that lived in China in the 1970's and collected antiquities.
