Description

19th C. Kerman Boteh Shawl, wool and cotton. A man's long wearing shawl. The large cartouche signature was needle embroidered onto it after it was removed from the loom. Signed Special Order of "Nowzohar Alla". Literature: Parviz Nemati, Shawls of the East, From Kerman to Kashmir, New York, 2003. This shawl is illustrated on pages 160-161. 6'0'' x 3'3'' (183 x 99 cm).
