With notes, selected from Grye and other authors, To which are prefixed, a Life of the Author, and A Preliminary Discourse on the Civil War London: Thomas McLean, 1819. First Edition, with twelve hand colored aquatint plates by J. H. Clark. Two volumes, 8vo, full red leather ornately tooled and gilt boards and covers which are decorated with a Lyre. A New Edition, embellished with engravings which are hand colored. Pasted down bookplates from Michael Monahan in both with ink inscription "Belle Isle". Gilt ruled edges. Vol one with advertisement bound at front, 443 pages. Vol two bound with notes and index at rear, 493 pages. Interiors clean and bright. Very good.
