Description
Circa 1830, Edgefield, South Carolina, likely Pottersville or Reverend John Landrum. The jar having an olive brown alkaline glaze with some runs to the surface. Each handle is missing and the jar has a freeze crack surrounding upper body. In as found condition. H16" This piece was recently discovered in an outbuilding in Grey Court, South Carolina. The family property dates back to the early 20th century and several buildings predate that.
