Lee Krasner (1908-1984, American) was an abstract expressionist painter with a speciality in collage. Krasner is now seen as a key transitional figure within abstraction, who connect early-20th-century art with the new ideas of postwar America. She is one of the few female artists to have had a restrospective show at the Museum of Modern Art.
