1775 Revolutionary War Act for Regulating Naval Officers Colonial ACT only one Month Before Lexington & Concord
March 2, 1775-Dated Revolutionary War Era Printed, "An Act for regulating Naval Officers.", at Hartford, Connecticut, Very Fine.
Rare original Imprint with the Colonial British use of the Royal Arms at top Masthead, issued under the name "Our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of GREAT-BRITAIN, & etc.". An original Revolutionary War Era Printing of "An Act and Law," measuring 6.5" x 11", 1 page, New Haven, Connecticut, disbound with expected light minor outer marginal tone. This Law passed by "the General Court or Assembly of His Majesty's English Colony of Connecticut..." deals with the financial duties of the various Naval Officers appointed to collect duties for the several ports of entry for the Colony, whereby they must post a Bond of 1,000 Pounds to the Colony Treasurer, "for the faithful discharge of Said Office." The first we have offered.
