1797 "George R" Signed Partly-Printed Vellum Document
KING GEORGE III (1860-1820). King of England / Great Britain and King of Ireland from October 1760 until the union of the two countries in January 1801, after which he was King of the United Kingdom until his death, ruled during the American Revolution and War of 1812 Era.
March 2, 1797-Dated, Partly-Printed Vellum Document Signed, "George R", measuring 12.75" x 8.75", (by sight) nicely matted and Framed to 19.75" x 22.5" (not examined outside of frame), 1 page, Very Fine. This Document being an Appointment for George Horton as Ensign. Two official Embossed Seals, one in white and one a blue Tax Stamp at left side margin. Faint signature at lower right and some manuscript portions appear somewhat light. Ready for display, with a color reproduction image of King George III displayed above the Document. The huge "George R" signature at the upper left corner is strong and prominent, measuring about a large 3" long.
