A carved wooden mask with raffia grass collar and tall attached superstructure which features a figure bent over and performing an enema. Certainly on of the most fascinating examples we have ever offered! Yaka peoples, DRC/Congo, Africa. The mask measures 27 x 13 inches. A display stand can be included for an additional $35.00* Provenance: Field collected by Lawson Mooney, C. 1965. with a written authentication from Dr, Arthur P. Bourgeois, ‘Art of the Yaka and Suku’.
