Autograph letter signed, by William Byron Henry (Co. "B", 116th Regiment, Ohio Infantry.) Near Wolftown, Md. August 2, 1864. 8vo, 6 pp., in pencil on wove. Creasing and very light soiling, Good. ****************** Letter from "Byron" Henry to his sister. Letter is accompanied by a full typed transcript (see photos.) Byron recounts his travels and engagements with Confederate forces. "At Snickers gap we punished the enimee pretty muchly, but at Winchester we got whipped in about half of no time... We were outnumbered so much that we could not make another stand until we got to Bunker Hill – 12 miles above Martinsburg."
