Indo Persian convex form circular warrior shield Chiseled & decorated .

Made of hand heavy iron sheet , hand hammered and hand chiseled.The surface of shield has 4 warrior figures on horse with weapons in hand .Bottom rim decorated wild animals figures chiseled and engraved.4 domed bosses with spike inserted like pyramid shape,.Bottom rim & central panel bears an elaborate chiseled engraving with floral & creeper design.The reverse of shield is padded with cloth cushion and 2 cotton handles to hold.Shield measures 17 inches in diameter.It would be fine addition to your collection or perfect gift or display.

This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.

Condition few tiny loss at some scattered stains on surface.An interesting shield showing the influence of other cultures , Circa Qajar period 18th.- 19th. c century.
