Roman Imperial coinage > Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus, Augusta, AD 193-217: AR Denarius (19 x 19.5mm, 3.25g), struck circa AD 200-207; draped bust facing right (simple drapery / proportional face & features) & legend IVLIA | AVGVSTA / Juno standing facing left, holding patera in right hand (over a peacock standing facing left) and long scepter in left & legend IVNO (4 letters in each of the corners). References: RIC 559, Sear 6588, RSC 82, BMC 38; choice EF: a little off center on ragged flan with a few edge cracks, strong strike on obverse, a little weaker on reverse; rare type; medallic alignment.
