American stoneware three-gallon jug, attributed to Daniel Cribbs (Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 1800-1892) and family, mid 19th c., having narrow mouth, body incised '3' denoting gallon capacity, with pulled strap handle, unmarked, approx 15.75"h, 10.5"diam, 10.25lbs **Provenance: purchased by consignor from the Turner Reavis estate, Gainesville, Sumter County, Alabama. Attribution confirmed by way of consignor via Crocker Farms auction, Maryland, and noted stoneware collector Danny Maltbie.** Start Price: $300.00
