Description

King James Bible-1613 -1614, Pilate's letter, Greek Translations are not Correct !

The Early Unique Edition of the Early King James being 1613-1614 Non to Compare ! THE HOLY BIBLE-CONTAINING THE OLD TESTAMENT AND THE NEW NEWLY TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUES** London: Robert Barker, 1613-14 **
After the 1611 version the early versions of the King James being the 1612-1614 copies still contained many printers typos and mistranslated statements, although there were more then a couple the most exposed was (Did Jesus want us to Hate our family and ourselves Luke 14:26,) - of course not. Did Pilot really put a letter on the cross John 19:19 ? .**** This Late 1613 and Early 1614 had these mistakes as the Greek Bible was still being translated to English.
Most Bibles from this period found have owners markings correcting these problems. By the late 1614s many of the corrections had been made to print.Because the Greek New Testament was written in Koine Greek, certain words were mistranslated. One of the trickiest word was the Greek term miseo. The King James Bible translates this as hate. Because of this, in Luke 14:26, Jesus tells his followers If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Harsh, But according to scholars of Koine, miseo does not quite mean hate.Instead, it means to separate from, or to prefer less. Jesus was not telling his followers to hate their fathers and mothers, rather, he was warning them that they had to place their dedication to faith above earthly bonds,
*** also called a Great Letter Bible because of the Book of John Chapter 19, Verse 19 mistakenly reads: Pilate wrote a letter instead of Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross **** also contains a misprint of Emorites instead of Amorites in Genesis 10:16
Bible Printing between 1613 and 1614 Mid December through Mid January*****Herbert notes it as The true 1613 edition of King James**** Bible; easily distinguishable from the other editions by its smaller type resulting in 72 lines rather than 59. Printed in London by Robert Barker
