Description
A document addressed to Warner Brothers studios, dated March 16th, 1955 and signed 'Lon Chaney.' The document is addressed to Warner Bros. Studios and in part reads: 'You are hereby notified that I have authorized Lester Salkow Agency to accept delivery of any and all checks and/or sums of money which may, from time to time, be or become payable to me from you.' At the conclusion of the document Chaney has signed in full (Lon Chaney). There is a stamp in the lower left hand corner indicating when the letter was received by Warner Bros. Other than the normal folds, the document is in excellent condition and bears a nice, large ink signature of Chaney. Chaney appeared in many films but is probably best remembered for his roles in 'The Wolf Man' (1941) and various crossovers, Frankenstein's monster in 'The Ghost of Frankenstein' (1942) and as the Mummy in three films. He also portrayed Lennie Small in the film, 'Of Mice and Men' (1939). This is a scarce and extremely desirable signature and this is a perfect example for display…. The buyer of record has until September 1, 2019 to return this lot for full refund in the event that a recognized authenticator rejects the signed item here as inauthentic.
