AN ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX WOOD LITURGICAL CEREMONIAL MÄSQÄL HAND CROSS, 18TH/19TH CENTURY, used for Holy days, the pierced carved infinite knots over a diaper pattern carved handle, ending with a tabot, or altar stone, carved with a hymn in Ge'ez, opposed by a floret with four surrounding characters, ending in a four pointed endless knot, presented on a custom wood and metal base. Note: White number engraved at base: 8435 Height: 20.50" Width: 8.00" Depth: 1.00"
